D. Product Overview:
When you have a big job to do, you need the Proto-Vac Model 400. With a big 60x30 molding base, you can perform prototyping and/or production jobs that the smaller machines are not capable of performing. And what's more, you can do this at a fraction of the cost you would pay for a conventional machine designed to handle such big jobs.
The Proto-Vac 400 features a 15,00 watt oven that is capable of being zoned, two 20 gallon accumulation tanks and a 4 cfm vacuum pump.
On the control panel is mounted an analog percentage timer which allows the oven heat to be controlled for maximum efficiency, a countdown timer which precisely monitors the time material is under heat, and a pilot light to tell the operator that material has achieved optimum thermoformability.
All controls are strategically located on the front panel to maximize visibility and eliminate wasted motions.
The mold platen is operated by two sequentially controlled air cylinders to provide a smooth and even rise and drop motion. An adjustable book-type frame holds the material in place while it is shuttled in and out of the oven.
All electrical systems are protected by a main safety service disconnect within easy reach of the operator and all key electrical components are fused for extra protection.
The model 400 is equipped with two 1860 cfm circulator fans with dirt-proof shaded pole motors and adjustable heads so that cooling air can be directed at molded parts for faster cooling.
Like all other Proto-Vac machines, the production capacity of the model 400 can be doubled for a fraction of the cost of buying two machines. Contact Tamco Mfg. Co for details about the feature.
