Designed specifically to meet the needs of small laboratories, design studios, offices and classrooms, this portable, tabletop, vacuum former is highly efficient and produces professional quality parts in a matter of minutes. No need to send your prototype work to an outside source and then wait for days, even weeks, for samples.
The PROTO-VAC 50 features a 3000 watt oven which is capable of heating a 22" x 22" x 3/16" plastic sheet to a thermoformable temperature in minutes; a self-contained vacuum system -- complete with a 20 gal, accumulator tank. All you need to provide is compressed air.
The control panel consists of a percentage timer (for oven heat control), a countdown timer (for heat cycle control), an on/off systems switch, a fan switch and an indicator light to signal the operator when the plastic sheet is ready to be removed from the oven. All these controls are located within easy reach and view of the operator.
The entire electrical system of the Model 50 is protected by a manually operated main service disconnect switch, for use in cases of emergency, to safeguard the machine from electrical damage. All other key electrical elements of the vacuum former are fused for extra protection.
